Senior Technical Artist, Unannounced Project

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an extraordinarily skilled Rigging and Animation Technical Artist to join an exciting unannounced project.

In this role, your core responsibilities are to design, craft, and maintain animation rigs with their supporting tools. You will also be expected to evaluate other art-related workflows and identify ways to improve them.

Do you possess thorough knowledge of rigging, animation, deformation, and simulation tools used in mobile games? Are you familiar with Maya rigging and Python tool development? Are you a problem-solver who geeks out about improving processes? If yes, this may be a phenomenal fit for you.

As a Senior Technical Artist, you will work closely with all disciplines and be responsible for bringing our game to Blizzard’s quality standards in art style and performance. Furthermore, your interpersonal skills will be an additional benefit in helping ancillary teams working on Blizzard’s rigging and animation technologies.

You’ll be part of a team just as passionate about making great games as you are, and together, we’ll work to craft some of the most epic entertainment experiences ever.

  • Experience in Maya rigging techniques and automation
  • Experience in implementing animation pipelines
  • Familiar with modern mobile games and their deformation techniques
  • Experience with Python tool development
  • Experience with Perforce or other source-control systems
  • Self-driven, good communicator, and an extraordinary team-player.
  • Previously shipped mobile games
  • Experience with Unity content creation
  • Experience with Git / GitHub
  • Experience with shader writing
  • Experience working with outsourcing.
